Scope:
To strengthen the research collaboration between Thailand and Taiwan, we have been establishing interaction in a wide variety of research fields extending from the utilization of bioresources to advanced functional materials. In this symposium session, we bring together these different studies with aim to find new collaboration opportunities among the different fields. First, we will have presentations detailing catalysts for oxidation of biomolecules, such as furfural and state-of-the-art mass spectroscopy analysis of bioactive natural products. Secondly, studies on the synthesis and characterization of active catalyst polymers and energy storage materials will be presented. Lastly, to bridge the experimental findings and molecular level interactions, we will also have talks concerning theoretical studies and machine learning techniques on predicting catalyst properties. We hope those interested can join this broad but exciting symposium session.
